Biography/history Gabriel Evans grew up in a country town in the South West of W.A. At the age of 14, he started his art career as a cartoonist for a newspaper and picked up his first book contract with an indie publisher at the age of 17. He has since teamed up with acclaimed Australian and USA authors and received two notable Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) Book of the Year nominations. Gabriel's illustrations are made with a mixture of watercolour, gouache, pencil and ink on paper. He has illustrated over fifteen children's books.

Summary This collection of artwork narrates a story about Annabelle Mae and her friends who are set to have the most delightfully posh afternoon tea when her neighbours, Darcy and Dean, decided to spoil their tea, but Annabelle doesn't let them spoil the fun!
