Summary |
What is now called the Nyabing Settlers Hall was opened as the Nyabing School Hall 16 January 1915 (see Gnowangerup Times 20 January 1915, p.1). In many newspaper articles it is named simply as Nyabing Hall. The hall was used as a school but was also available for community uses to raise money to pay for it. The hall has been moved from its original Martin Street location to this Richmond Street location in 2008. To the left of the building two memorial plaques have been erected probably moved from their original location. A memorial to Nyabing men who fell in WWII and a plaque listing the WWI dead from Nyabing. |
