Summary |
Dr Wheeler shares his early years' experience attending Perth Boys and Modern Perth School. He talks about his early career and his teachers in Perth Modern and University of Western Australia, including Prof. Cameron and original librarians such as Annie Wood. He did research on a grant obtained by Prof. H. L. Fowler. He covers issues involving the curricula in English and psychology of University of Western Australia in this interview. Dr Wheeler narrates his role in setting up Geraldton High School, he was the master of head of department. He took up a Hackett Scholarship to do psychology. In 1951, he was appointed senior lecturer at the Education Department, UWA. He also obtained a Fulbright scholarship in 1956 and ran courses later in University Extension courses. |
