Biography/history Reginald John Moir born in Albany, Western Australia and completed a degree in Agricultural Science at the University of Western Australia in 1941. He was awarded first class honours in 1942 and was appointed Assistant Lecturer in Agriculture and went on to become the Professor of Agriculture in 1967. He was awarded the Australian Institute of Agricultural Science for research teaching in 1962 and the ANZAAS Mueller Medal in 1973. He was a member of the planning board for Murdoch University from 1970-73 and contributed much to the establishment of the School of Veterinary Sciences at the new university. He was awarded the Order of Australia for service to agriculture through teaching and research.
Summary Emeritus Professor Reginald John Moir retired in 1983 as Professor of Agricultural Science at University of Western Australia after teaching for 46 years. He talks about his childhood growing up a farm and his career paths and his research and achievements over the years.
