Biography/history
From 1929-1983, Castledare provided residential care for Australian-born children and British and Maltese child migrants. Castledare was variously known as: St Vincent’s Boys’ Home; Castledare Special School; Castledare Junior Orphanage; Castledare Boys’ Home. Castledare was located at Fern Road, Wilson.
