| Summary |
Dean of the UWA Dental School from 1953 to 1982, Emeritus Professor Sutherland discusses his early life in Melbourne, his education and becoming a dentist. After war service, mostly posted to W.A., he returned to study and graduated in medicine completing an internship at the Royal Alfred Hospital Melbourne. He eventually returned to education in dentistry with a position at the UWA School of Dentistry. He describes the rest of his varied career, future trends in dentistry, together with biographical details. This interview took place in the studios of 6UVS-FM on 17th June 1985 as part of a project by the Sally Joyston-Bechal Study Group. |
