Biography/history |
Dr Avrum (known as Tim) Einihovici was born in Russia in 1895. He moved to Romania to escape persecution and then went to Italy in 1922 to study medicine at the University of Pavia. He married his Polish wife, Idyss Keyman in 1934 in Milan. They later moved to Western Australia and he entered into general practice in Corrigin, later moving to Perth to practice as an ear, nose and throat surgeon. He and Idyss were ardent supporters of the international language Esperanto and this collection focuses on their involvement in the Esperanto community, both in Western Australia and internationally. |
