Biography/history |
When Sir Peter Warburton of Arley died childless in 1813, the Rev Rowland Egerton assumed the Warburton arms and the name Egerton-Warburton. Some descendents of Rowland Egerton-Warburton, however, refer to themselves, or are named in reference sources, as Warburton rather then Egerton-Warburton. These include his sons, Peter Egerton Warburton (1813-1889) and George Edward Egerton Warburton (1819-1889). George Edward Egerton Warburton had business and property interests in Albany, Mt. Barker, Kojonup and Plantagenet. His son Horace had a sawmill in Albany and pastoral leases in the Mt. Barker area. |
