Postcards sent by Leslie Turner to his parents and sister May when he was at Bovington Camp and K6 Worgret Camp, Wareham, Dorset, England with a visit to Southampton from 20 October 1916 to 4 March 1917. He briefly mentions having a staff job at Wareham, experience of soldiers at the Somme, America entering the war, a German submarine attack, a successful war loan, advance of the British, his pay book, having his toiletries stolen, injury to Capt. Jack Roydhouse. |
