Notes |
Aircraft registered VH-REM (REM stood for Robin Elizabeth Miller) Mooney M.20E Super 21 (construction number: 424). Built in 1964, and registered in the USA as N6681R, before delivery to Australia. It was initially registered as VH-TOK on 11 September 1964, before being re-registered as VH-REM on 16 September 1968. Robin Miller flew VH-REM from September 1968 to July 1972. The aircraft is still flying in 2009. An engineering experimental prototype Mooney M.20H (construction number 1) was donated by Mooney Aircraft to serve as a memorial in honour of Robin Miller. This M.20H aircraft was painted to represent VH-REM, and unveiled on 20 May 1978. It is now mounted on a pole at Jandakot Airport, adjacent to the RFDS hangars.
