Biography/history	Vera Whittington was born in Narrogin in 1915. She was a writer and historian whose publications include: Gold and typhoid – two fevers : a social history of Western Australia, Sister on Patrol : from the missionary experiences of Sister Dorothy Pederick, Sister Kate: a life dedicated to children in need of care, and Rowethorpe writings, a selection. Vera also wrote for radio and school broadcast dramas in the 1970s, as well as articles for various journals.
Summary	Includes drafts, notes and research relating to Vera Whittington's books Gold and typhoid : two fevers, Women of compassion (2 parts), Sister on patrol, and, Sister Kate; her short stories, scripts for her school broadcasts, 1965-1970 with related correspondence, newspaper cuttings, and photographs used in her various books, publications and book launches.
