Summary The last Labour Day march or procession held in Perth. At the head of the march were heads of the labour movement such as Don Cooley, John Tonkin and Bob Hawke (as President of the ACTU). Various labour union groups took part carrying banners. As in most of these marches other affiliated groups also march - for example the Union of Australian Women, the Anti-Vietnam War protesters and even a small group of Aboriginal protesters.
