Summary
The Migrant Welcome Walls at the Western Australian Maritime Museum in Fremantle recognise the thousands of migrants who have come to Western Australia to make a new life and record the names of migrants and families who came through Fremantle Port. This book records the name of individuals and families, the ship of passage, year of arrival and the wall panel number. The Welcome Walls are supported by a website and an historical computer database called Passages with additional information supplied by family or descendants. The Welcome Walls were developed by the Western Australian Museum in collaboration with the Department of Premier and Cabinet. The Welcom Walls gallery was designed by Steve Woodland who has written a page for this book.
