Teacher and local historian. Commissioned by the Boddington Shire Council to produce a history of the Boddington district in celebration of 100 years of local government in the shire. "Becoming Boddington" was published in 1992. |
| Summary |
Papers collected when writing a history of the Boddington district which covered the period from 1830 to 1992 and included all aspects of community life from pioneer subsistence to development of the Boddington Gold Mine. As well as early settlers such as the Batt, Farmer, Fawcett, and Pollard families, the papers refer to other people of the district who are often left out of histories. The collection includes photographs, typescripts of interviews, biographical notes, correspondence, cuttings, records of Marradong Road Board, minutes with an index to minutes, and drafts of the book Becoming Boddington, including an index. |
