Biography/history |
Sunset Hospital, previously known as the Old Men's Home, was built on a rise overlooking Freshwater Bay in Dalkeith in 1904. It replaced the Mount Eliza Depot used to house the poor and destititute since the 1850s. In 1964 women were admitted to the home for the first time. Sunset closed in 1995. |
