Biography/history The Western Australian branch of the Movement for the Ordination of Women (MOW) was inaugurated in Perth in 1984. Some of its primary aims were to move the Anglican Church in Australia to admit women to the ordained ministries of the Church, and to encourage women to hear and respond to the call of God, and not be afraid of working towards fulfilling their vocations. At the Annual General Meeting, held in November 1994, it was agreed that the Perth movement had achieved its main aim and was disbanded.
