Summary	During the 1920s and 1930s Boans Department store had Father Christmas on a sleigh (pulled by horses in the early years) greet children and distribute sweets at the Perth Zoo, process to the Girls' Orphanage in Adelaide Terrace and then to the department store in Murray Street where he took up residence for the season.
