Biography/history Chief Protector of Aborigines in Western Australia. Came to W.A. from England and joined the Public Service in 1897. Appointed Chief Protector in 1915 after serving in the Premier's, Chief Secretary's and North West Depts. In 1936, appointed Commissioner of Native Affairs.
