Summary
Group of children pose on the corner of Museum and James Streets. The sign Public Library can be seen on the front of the library building. The Public Library of Western Australia building was a three story building running north-south with a light well in the centre which was built in 1903. In 1914 the library moved into the Hackett Hall which was built along James Street adjacent to the Museum building. The name Victoria had been dropped from the name of the library in 1904 when it became the Public Library of Western Australia.
