| Summary |
Forty-eight Perth taxis lined up on Wellington Square, East Perth. Yellow Cab Co. fleet is at the front, drivers wear uniforms consisting of peaked caps, double-breasted jackets, jodpurs and knee boots. Behind are other taxis and drivers, many wearing suits and hats, some in dust coats. There is one horse-drawn cab among the motor vehicles. Boans department store had hired the taxis to provide free transport to their sale. The taxis are draped with banners reading 'Boans free taxi' and signs on their windscreens 'Free to Boans!!'. |
