Summary
Although this foundation stone was laid, no building ever eventuated. Later the stone was moved to be part of the foundation of the W.A. Museum and Victoria Public Library building in James Street, corner Beaufort Street. See the photograph at call number 3881B/65 of the relaying of this stone in 1897. The history of this event is published in the Western Mail 13 February 1904, p.24.
