Biography/history Farmer in Kununoppin district, W.A.
Born in New South Wales in 1872. Hewitt was overseer at a sheep station in Queensland. He came to the W.A. Goldfields and took up land at Minnivale which he named after his fathers estate in NSW. Hewitt farmed at Kununoppin. He was a foundation member of the Primary Producers’ Association and represented the local branch at the annual conference. Hewitt married Lilian Gill, daughter of Francis Gill. He had two daughters, and died 1 April 1939.
