Summary |
Was a serviceman with the 86th Squadron for 5 years. He was employed as a foreman painter for University of Western Australia from 1946-1983, earning 10 pounds a week. However, he also does septic tanks and other jobs. Talks about his supervisor, Mr Holly, and the setting up of a larger workshop. He also elaborates about the residential area for academic staff and their families. He also shares all the renovations and building repairs that were carried out while he was working there. He also speaks of Tuart House, residential for Vice-Chancellor and the families of the Vice-Chancellor who had lived there. |
