Biography/history Planning for the Pioneer Women's Fountain in King's Park, Perth WA, began in 1963. The fountain sculpted by Margaret Priest was the largest bronze ever cast in Western Australia. An honour roll was added, containing the names of 9000-10000 pioneer women. The fountain was officially turned on by the Governor on 14 January 1968.
