| Biography/history |
Federal body founded in 1946 with branches established in each state shortly afterwards. Members were required to hold academic qualifications acceptable to the Institution of Engineers, Australia. The aims of the association were to obtain and support an appropriate standard of living for professional engineers through a suitable salary structure, and to improve the standards of engineering service to the community. |
