Contents View of school -- photo of Kingsley Fairbridge, a South African Rhodes Scholar -- formed first school near Mandurah in 1912, school moved in 1921 to 3000 acre farm 5 miles from Pinjarra -- survey of buildings, children and tourists at school, tourists getting into bus -- children on ships in Fremantle arriving from England (children are selected to be brought to the school, scheme financed by WA Government and private benefactors in England and Australia) -- children leaving boat and getting into buses, lunch in Kings Park with views of Perth then bus to Fairbridge -- cottages, school, hospital, telephone exchange, Chapel of the Holy Innocents, farm scenes with children learning to be farmers, children at school -- successful farmer and wife (Reg Sexton) both from Fairbridge on their chicken farm at Wanneroo.
Summary An account of the Kingsley Fairbridge Farm School at Pinjarra, WA, established for the benefit of underprivileged children from Britain. On arrival at Fairbridge the children have a 'cottage mother' to look after them. They attend school, participate in sport and church services, and eventually go out to work. With commentary.
